I spike my hair with ICE spiker, but after a while it makes my hair white and flaky... any suggetsti

I use Joico Ice spiker and, it turns my hair white and flaky, is ther anything i can use to make it go away?

I style my hair like the gotti boys (dont want to be them or anything i just have the same spiked hair) i use Spiker Ice cause it has good hold and if i put alot of gel in it gives my hair that thick spiked look in the front and all around (like a crown with the middle put down) the only problem is that after a couple of hours my hair gets white and flaky. I was wondering if there was anything i could use to prevent or get rid of it.....

when i do my hair i blow dry it completely dry and up, put a bunch of gel in and then spray it with the ice half blast spray and then blow dry that dry.. PLEASE HELP

Hi, my mom is a proffesional at this, so this is not a suggestion.

Joico is not a very good product to use, I'm sorry to say this, but it IS true. When you use a joico product, it brings build-up to your hair, not a good thing, so you are just left with problems.

It is not good to blow-dry all of your hair. You should just do most of it, because your hair will get dried out. The reason is that when you blow-dry, the heat is so hot, that it takes all the moisture out of your hair.

Lastly, NEVER EVER use gel. Most people do not know this, but it is a complete no no. I reccomend you using styling wax.

i dont know what to do to get rid of it but try using the bed head - spiking glue. it works wonders and is water proof!

Dont spike your hair it makes you look like your head went thru a blender

sweetheart.. i suggest you don't use gel.. instead use wax... it makes the spikes look more natural instead of oily and flaky like what the gel does to your hair.. and gel isn't really healthy for the hair... so try wax.. it might not have as great as a hold but it will hold and look better too...

Wal-mart has a product called Got2bspiked up, its a blue gel in a clear bottle. I am bald, but my son spikes his hair, and we swear by it. It won't cause your hair to turn white, and if my son does not take a shower his hair is usually still sipiked the next morning! lol He is 9 and very active, so you be the judge. We think its a quality product at a good price.

Hope this helps, even if it is from an old bald guy...lol

Have a great day.

Robert

use a non-flake gel.
