Hair Protectant ((Straitened Hair))?

I've been straitening my hair for a while now, and it doesnt seem to work. So im looking up the CORRECT way to do it. So it says i need at heat protectant. Is a spray or a conditioner better? And will it help with keeping my hair strait any? Thanks.

I've found that the more products i use the LESS straight it turns out! When i use no products it turns out the best. Just make sure you use a good conditioner in the shower, don't towel dry your hair and use a SPRAY (WAVY HAIR) or GEL (Curly hair) after you shower to protect it from heat. I use Aussie brand and have tried Dove, Garnier, Frizz Ease. They all did the same thing really. Good luck!

I use one by Garnier that protects your hair before you straighten it. You can find it at any grocery store, salon, or Target.

i think a spray is better i have "soya want flat hair" spray by sexy hair and it works really well and its in a little blue spray can it comes out like a hairspray texture so you may want to brush it through b4 u straighten it but its really good you can find it at sally's beauty supply store and its just a falt iron spray

okay from what I'm reading your hair wont stay straight after you use your flat iron, firstly a heat protectant while it is neccesary will not keep your hair straight, the heat protectant does exactly what it says, protect your hair form becoming damaged from the heat. secondly it could very well be the brand that you are using, I have tight curly wavy hair so I have to use the chi or sedu to straighten my hair, and lastly you might want to look into the products that you use before straightening your hair. I have this shampoo by Phyto called Phytobrush which is specifically for keeping my hair from reverting after I straighten it. so you look into products that say will keep your hair straight after blow drying and flat ironing

you can use this serum its called sunsilk and it gives ur hair gloss as well as less curls then put some water and start straightening and the hair protectant doesnt always work so just ignore that saying lolXD tell me if it works

THE BEST THING TO DO IS BLOW DRY IT STRAIGHT THEN USE A SERUM TYPE PROTECTANT, REDKEN HAS A GREAT ONE CALLED HEAT GLIDE, THE STRAIGHTEN...

There are so many products on the market today that are designed to help protect your hair from styling tools.

Your first step towards healthy hair should be a good professional shampoo, followed up with a good conditioner. then you can choose a product that is designed to help with the heat of your styling implements. Is your straightener a ceramic iron or is it metal? Ceramic irons are the best and add the least amount of stress to the hair. You can buy products that you spray in or you apply by using your hands

Chi by forouk has iron guard sprays and also a chi silk infusion that works great to protect the hair. Bio Silk is another great product line that will carry everything you need.

Jcpenneys has most all of these products and professionals to help with you haircare needs.

A spray is better. It's more lightweight and distributes more evenly (just comb it through after spraying). I like the tresemme one. It's cheap and works really well.
