Whenever I'm done straightening my hair, it smells burnt afterwards?

Help, what can I do to make it smell good?

I wash with my hair with Tresemme if thats any help o_O

I'm so scared to hug people cause I'm afraid they will know how bad my hair smells ):

Please recommend any products that worked for you (heat protecting spray, seru, hairspray..whatever)

Oh and I cleaned my straightener like last week, it still gave my hair that burning smell. ):

if it smells burnt, it IS burnt. if you want it to go away get a new straightener asap because you are damaging your hair. only use it as high as your hair type needs it or you are just doing it harm. (thick hair=higher heat, thin hair=lower heat)

good luck!

and- i find that if you spray your hair with a light body spray or something and whoosh it all around it leaves your hair with a subtle but nice scent. i love the dream pray from the gap, it's light and inexpensive.

Your straighter must be getting too hot. That's not good at all if your hair smells burnt! Is it a good flat iron or is it a cheapy one?? A good one to consider is Chi. Please just get rid of the one you have. It's just doing bad damage to your hair. Your should never smell a burnt smell.

I use Paul Mitchell Super Skinny on my hair before straightening.

**You may also be holding the iron on/in the hair too long**

I don't know your ethnicity so I'm saying this if it applies. Sometimes too much oil on the hair will make it smell like that. If the iron is set too high, some you can adjust the tempature try that if yours is like that. Sleek Look has good smoothing products Redken, Paul Mitchell. Depending on the thickness of your hair try to use the smallest amount that you can get away with.

turn it down. you probably have it set too high. See if you can adjust the settings. More heat doesn't mean straighter hair. If you have good flat iron, it doesn't need to be real high to get good results.
